Radio resource management for 5G mobile communication systems with massive antenna structure

Abstract: In order to accommodate for the emerging mobile data traffic, millimetre‐wave (mmWave) band in 30–300GHz range is being considered for the fifth generation (5G) mobile networks. This mmWave band can potentially fulfil the bandwidth requirement of the next generation mobile networks for the next few decades and beyond. In this article, we propose a novel resource allocation scheme for mmWave in 5G mobile networks. The concept of multi‐beam coordination is adopted to efficiently utilise the radio resource and im… Show more

“…Network coordination may be boosted with the help of the central controller, and stable relationships between distant assets can be established. Furthermore, a coalition security tool has been developed, and the advancement of the Internet of Things is assured [25][26][27][28][29]. The restricted correspondence affiliation, which shapes a self-organizing affiliation framework through far-flung affiliations, is the best option for IoT carriers.…”

“…4 The fifth-generation communication system will employ a millimetre wave spectrum to offer ultra-high speed, low latency data services, reliable communication, and high-quality multimedia services. 5,6 Low frequency bands, such as sub 1 GHz, are also used for low data rate applications and larger area coverage, while mid frequency bands, such as sub 6 GHz, are used for good coverage and moderate speed. 1 Because of environmental losses and significant connection losses, mm-wave transmission is restricted to short distances.…”
