Radiation characteristics and implosion dynamics of tungsten wire array Z-pinches on the YANG accelerator

Abstract: We investigated the radiation characteristics and implosion dynamics of low-wire-number cylindrical tungsten wire array Z-pinches on the YANG accelerator with a peak current 0.8-1.1 MA and a rising time ∼ 90 ns. The arrays are made up of (8-32)×5 µm wires 6/10 mm in diameter and 15 mm in height. The highest X-ray power obtained in the experiments was about 0.37 TW with the total radiation energy ∼ 13 kJ and the energy conversion efficiency ∼ 9% (24×5 µm wires, 6 mm in diameter). Most of the X-ray emissions fro… Show more

“…This, diosgenin has neuroprotective and antioxidant activity, modulates neurotransmitters, is antiapoptotic and anti-inflammatory, attenuates Ca 2+ influx modulating neurotrophic factors, inhibits tau phosphorylation, and can regenerate neural networks (Sun et al, 2015). Some of these activities may well stem from the repression of TNF-α, IL-1β, and IL-6 levels and the NF-κB pathway (Zhang et al, 2017;Man et al, 2023) in addition to the aforementioned actions. Because of these diverse properties, diosgenin can generate mnemonic/ antidepressant/anxiolytic outcomes in our behavioral paradigms following SPS exposure.…”

“…For instance, the effect of algae growth and nutrients removal using synthetic wastewater and aerobic granulation in a sequencing batch reactor was investigated 56. In this study, the bioactivity of granules, i.e., nitrifying bacteria, denitrifying bacteria and PAOs (Polyphosphate‐accumulating organisms), decreased due to simultaneous algae growth.…”

“…Compared to QTL localization based on genetic mapping, GWAS and GS have been reported relatively few in sugarcane. For example, GWAS was used for yield (Barreto et al, 2019;Zhang et al, 2023b), sugar content (Racedo et al, 2016;Fickett et al, 2019), fiber composition (Gouy et al, 2015;Yang et al, 2019a), drought tolerance (Wirojsirasak et al, 2023), and disease resistance such as yellow leaf (Debibakas et al, 2014) and orange rust (Yang et al, 2019b); and GS was used for fiber content, flowering (Hayes et al, 2021), yield and sugar (Deomano et al, 2020;Islam et al, 2022), ratooning ability (Islam et al, 2023), and rust resistance (Islam et al, 2021). It should be noted that GS has shown high prediction accuracies in practical breeding programs, and can be a promising tool for improving the rate of genetic gain for quantitative traits in sugarcane breeding (Yadav et al, 2020;Hayes et al, 2021;Islam et al, 2023).…”
