This article investigates state estimation for discrete-time nonlinear systems with Markov delay, where a redundant communication channel is considered to improve transmission reliability. As the channel capacity is limited, we use two Bernoulli stochastic variables to describe the packet dropout conditions of the main channel and the redundant one. In addition, a mode-dependent estimator based on both the current state and the delayed state is designed. Combining with an intermittent approach, the efficiency of the estimator is improved. An augmented estimation error system is proposed to deal with the Markov delay in the nonlinear system. Subsequently, a sufficient condition is obtained to ensure the asymptotic stability of the augmented error system by constructing a Lyapunov function, and the gains of the intermittent estimator are derived. Finally, a numerical example of a moving vehicle is utilized to illustrate the developed results.

This paper presents an approach for fixed‐time synchronization (FIXTS) of neural networks (NNs) by designing quantized intermittent controller. Under the intermittent controller, the synchronization between neural network systems with time delay can be realized. Based on intermittent strategy, FIXTs theory is proposed, and a sufficient condition is established to realize the FIXTS of the master–slave NNs. At the same time, the establishment time of FIXTS is estimated. Finally, the simulation of Gilli attractor to prove the validity of the proposed method.

The contribution of this investigation lies in solving a sampled‐data output feedback stabilization problem for a class of upper‐triangular stochastic nonlinear systems in p$$ p $$‐normal structure with unavailable states and uncertain time‐varying input delay. A reduced‐order observer with the available sampled output detection is developed for the focused system to estimate its unavailable states, and under such observer, a sampled‐data output feedback stabilizer is constructed by combining the backstepping and adding a power integral techniques. Through selecting the appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii functionals, we can demonstrate that the adverse influences caused by the uncertain time‐varying delays in the resulting closed‐loop system can be restricted effectively by the constructed stabilizer, and further, by following the stochastic differential theories, the global stability of the considered resulting closed‐loop system can be analyzed under the suitable design parameters and allowable sampling period. Finally, two examples are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control method.
