“…Nonlinear interferometers using signal and idler photons in the visible and near‐infrared, respectively have been demonstrated to date for a variety of applications such as imaging, [ 16,155–157 ] ellipsometry, [ 158 ] and optical coherence tomography. [ 159 ] In the following, the focus will be on nonlinear interferometers with a more extreme wavelength spread between signal and idler photons.…”

“…The properties of the noise, its intensity and variance, are changed during this study. We perform a quantum imaging distillation technique based on quantum phase-shifting digital holography [33]. Our distillation technique uses phase modulation of the undetected photon to vary the interference pattern detected on the camera.…”

“…Entangled photons can be generated by spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) [1], where a pump photon impinges onto a second-order nonlinear crystal and is converted into a signal and an idler photon that share quantum correlations simultaneously in, for example, transverse momentum and position. This quantum correlation enabled two unconventional imaging schemes [2], quantum ghost imaging [3,4] and quantum imaging with undetected photons (QIUP) [5][6][7][8][9][10], that produce a so-called "non-local" image by letting only the idler photon interact with the object while the camera measures the non-interacting signal photon. The most notable feature of these non-local imaging schemes is, that they enable the use of two-color photon-pairs, i.e., signal and idler with non-degenerate wavelengths.…”
