Smith et al ( 193 ) used the tail flick response to a radiant heat stimulus, an adaptation of the Hardy-Wolff method, and found a rise in threshold only with very large doses of 700-900 mg/kg orally of acetophenetidin but no effect with 600 mg/kg subcutaneously.…”
