“…In previous studies, the average [28]-or median [29]-spectra of the unfolded data cube were used to build calibration models. In this study, the spectra with the highest correlation to the median spectrum (corr-spec) of the data cube of every image were selected.…”

“…This may be due to the fact that the spray drying process led to the re-crystallization of some PXM molecules in the Form II (lower melting point) polymorph of PXM [63]. This observation can be confirmed in the SEM image of spray-dried PXM (Supplementary materials figure 1) as needle-shaped PXM particles that are characteristic of Form II PXM were also observed [68]. GLU appears as a single endothermic peak on the DSC trace (Supplementary materials figure 2) with a melting point at 210.27 ˚C.…”

“…This indicates that the ratio of piroxicam to poloxamer polymer influences the crystal size. In addition, it has been emphasized that increased wettability of piroxicam results in increased dissolution . Hence, in our research the 0.05% w/w piroxicam poloxamer‐based formulation with needle‐shaped crystals showed higher solubility and permeation than the non‐poloxamer‐based formulation with cube‐shaped crystals.…”
