Abstract: In this article, after reviewing the different mathematical methods used in quantification, we describe and discuss their respective advantages and inconveniences. “…As referenced in practically all compendium pharmacopoeias, the major use of FTIR in the transmission mode is for the identification of API in raw materials and finished products. Regardless of the many advantages described in the last two decades 28 , FTIR equipment in the pharmaceutical field for qualitative issues is widely available but still undervalued for quantitative purposes.
