“…The analysis mainly focused on interviews with residents and caregivers, complemented by observation notes, and was conducted according to QUAGOL, a guide for qualitative data analysis (Dierckx de Casterlé, Gastmans, Bryon, & Denier, 2012). QUAGOL covers two parts: (1) coding process preparation, by taking a narrative approach and identifying and reflecting on themes; (2) the actual coding process consists of an interplay between description, analysis, interpretation and developing concepts (Dierckx de Casterlé et al, 2012, p. 369).…”

“…The emphasis is on conceptual robustness rather than on completeness of the data (Dixon-Woods, Agarwal, Jones, Young, & Sutton, 2005). Because of this emphasis on conceptual robustness, this purposeful sampling fits our goal to go beyond a simple, descriptive aggregation of the findings and to achieve theoretical development (Campbell et al, 2003;De Casterlé, Gastmans, Bryon, & Denier, 2012). Also, because of this purposeful sampling, research directions may be divergent and iterative, rather than linear (Walsh & Downe, 2005) which aligns better with the philosophy of qualitative research (Hannes et al,2013).Thesearchstrategywedeveloped is based on a full screening of potential purposeful sampling Maximum variaƟon sampling (7 more arƟcles included)…”

“…Anthropological inquiries in disability recognize advantages in disabled researchers conducting research on disabled people and in using this strength to fully explore the phenomenological experience of disability [23][24][25]. To keep potential bias in the data interpretation to a minimum and improve the findings' trustworthiness, data were analyzed collaboratively, in line with QuaGol [26]. After all interviews had been transcribed, content reports and concept lists were made, shared and discussed.…”
