QCA memory with parallel read∕serial write: design and analysis

Abstract: This paper presents a novel memory architecture for implementation by Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) Summary and conclusionsOur proposed novel memory architecture for QCA implementation utilizes a parallel read operation on multiple bit loops. The memory arrangement is referred to as "hybrid" due to the different operational mechanism for the two memory operations (read and write). The proposed memory results in two advantages over previous architectures: (1) the parallel read mechanism allows a reduced … Show more

“…The QCA circuit configuration is currently limited to one layer with a variety of terribly restricted cable crossings. They jointly explain the duplication of nodes and routing algorithms to reduce cable crossing Ottavi, Setal [7] suggested that the QCA architecture, which incorporates the advantage of a minimized area of a serial memory with a reduced delay when reading a parallel memory, should be called "hybrid." They also said that the active area can be achieved by hybrid.…”

“…However, in the case of the multi-bit method BC Nguyen et al, the results were not satisfactory. [7] Improve the capacity of LSB replacement technology by introducing the popular multibit flat image steganography. The increase in capacity again reduces the imperceptibility of WC Kuo et al [8] The capacity is increased by incorporating multiple bits of destination data encoded by the execution length coding (RLE), but the imperceptibility is maintained by considering the generalized use characteristics of multiple bits of the modified address (MGEMD).…”

“…Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) has been an active area of research since its introduction 20 years ago [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]. Power gain and dissipation have been active areas of study [8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15], as have the use of QCA cells as memory devices [16][17][18][19][20][21][22]. Reversible and non-reversible clocking of QCA devices has been studied intensively [23][24][25][26][27][28][29].…”

“…But the work mainly focused on the memory design and decoder was just a part of the memory access. Ottavi et.al, [3] also proposed a 4:16 decoder. This 4:16 decoder was split into two 2:4 row and column subdecoders.…”
