“…Cellulose, with higher decomposition temperatures, is decomposed in the second peak formed at this stage, with a temperature of approximately 400 °C, representing 19% of mass loss. The lignin structure, which decomposes over a wide temperature range (280-550 °C), showed no evident mass loss, indicating a possible contribution to the decomposition peaks of the other two structures (hemicellulose and cellulose) and also for the final solids mass, as already observed by Kelkar et al 21 The third stage, which occurred at temperatures above 600 °C and at a very low rate of mass loss, represents the formation of the carbonaceous solid.
