“…Using the equation above, the pyroelectric figure of merit for the PZT material was calculated; found that it varied from 5.36 Â 10 À6 to 2.00 Â 10 À5 C/m 2 K before poling. After poling, the pyroelectric figure of merit was calculated again and it was found to be varied from 5.54 Â 10 À5 to 2.07 Â 10 À4 C/m 2 K. The pyroelectric figure of merit for the PCT material was found to be varied from 1.89 Â 10 À5 to 4.62 Â 10 À5 C/m 2 K before poling and 1.54 Â 10 À4 to 3.87 Â 10 À4 C/m 2 K. In Table 2, the pyroelectric figure of merit of PZT and PCT materials investigated in this work has been compared with other pyroelectric materials that were found (calculated) in literature [21][22][23][24].…”

“…Therefore, ferroelectric glass–ceramics based on BST are being increasingly used in thick‐film capacitors 2–5 . For tunable applications, some of the important requirements of a dielectric are (i) reasonable dielectric constant (ɛ r ∼500), (ii) low dielectric loss, (iii) high dielectric tunability, and (iv) low temperature coefficient of ɛ r 6–15 . Dielectric losses are lower for material compositions in the paraelectric regime.…”
