“…In this connection there has been increased interest in the use of supercritical water (SCW) (temperature T > 647 K and p > 22.1 MPa) as a medium for conversion of lowgrade fuels and recycling of harmful organic compounds. Prospects for the use of SCW are provided by its unique properties [1,2]: high, almost unlimited, solubility of organic compounds and nonpolar gases, in particular, oxygen and low solubility of salts and acids; high density; high (compared to the liquid state) diffusion coefficient, and low viscosity. Even at relatively low temperatures, supercritical water has strong chemical reactivity in the radical type reactions characteristic of combustion.…”
