Psychosomatic aspects of the infertility treatment with the in vitro fertlization method

Abstract: On the example of 114 patients aged 20 to 37 years, from which 84 patients suff ered tubal-peritoneal infertility were included in the treatment methods of assisted reproductive technologies. Control group consisted of fertile women. Women with infertility revealed a signifi cant incidence of comorbid psychiatric disorders associated with the stressful eff ects of IVF treatment, characterized by comorbidity of anxiety and depression with the prevalence of anxiety disorders.
