This research aims to analyse the differences in optimism, resilience, engagement and competitive anxiety as a function of the sport modality practiced in lifeguarding (individual sport) and futsal (team sport); the sport category by age (cadet or youth) and gender. The LOT-R optimism questionnaire, the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10), the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) and the Competitive Anxiety Scale (SAS-2) were applied to a sample of 189 participants (139 men and 50 womwn) aged between 14 and 17 years. The following statistical tests are performed: Cronbach's alpha, Pearson's linear correlation, Student's t-test, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Levene's test and multivariate linear regression. The data indicate that there are significant gender differences in total anxiety (p <0.001) and all its dimensions (somatic, worry, worry-free), also in optimism and pessimism (p < 0.001), as well as in total engagement (p = 0.051) and the absorption dimension (p < 0.001). When comparing the sample by sport categories, there are statistically significant differences in somatic anxiety (p = 0.036) and deconcentration (p = 0.034), as well as in LOT-total (p ≤ 0.001) and pessimism (p ≤ 0.001). In relation to the sport modalities, lifeguards show more anxiety 38.39 (0.49) and more commitment 4.58 (0.87) while futsal athletes reach higher scores in deconcentration 8.45 (2.29). It is concluded that the variables of commitment and resilience had a statistically significant positive effect, and the category of <16 years had a statistically significant negative effect, so the lower the category, the higher the optimism.

Background: Emotional and motivational factors are fundamental in the context of sport, as they directly relate to sports performance and anxiety. Methods: The present study aimed to analyze the relationships between motivational climate (MC), emotional intelligence (EI), and anxiety within a sample of footballers playing at a low level. The sample was composed of 282 registered football players aged between 16 and 18 years old (16.96 ± 0.77), playing in the lower tier in the province of Jaen (Spain). Data were self-reported, with participants responding to the Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire (PMCSQ-2), the Schutte Self-Report Inventory (SSRI), and the State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). Results: The results showed that footballers who reported higher levels of state anxiety and trait anxiety also demonstrated lower EI and more negatively perceived and regulated their emotions. Moreover, an ego-oriented climate was associated with higher levels of anxiety, while a task-oriented climate was related to lower levels of anxiety and higher levels of EI. No relationship was identified between the emotional aspects of young footballers and holding a motivational orientation toward an ego climate. Conclusions: Football players who more greatly perceived a task-oriented climate had higher EI and usually reported lower levels of anxiety related to sport performance. It is therefore important to promote intrinsic motivations and develop the capacity of footballers to regulate their own emotions.

Children at this age are a critical period of physical and mental development in a person’s life. Correctly understanding and grasping the characteristics and laws of physical and mental development of children at this stage and developing targeted sports and training are conducive to the physical development and growth of children. The first is the concrete image of the cognitive activity; the second is the unintentional nature of mental activities and behaviors; the third is the initial tendency of personality in order to monitor the physical condition of children in sports training in real time and to improve the management and data analysis capabilities of the physical condition of children in sports training; a set of real-time monitoring system for the physical condition of children in sports training is designed to help develop and improve the intelligence of children’s sports training management. This article mainly introduces the design of a real-time monitoring system for children’s physical condition in sports training based on an embedded system and is aimed at providing some references for the real-time monitoring of the physical condition of young children in sports training. This paper proposes a design method of a real-time monitoring system for children’s physical fitness in sports training based on embedded systems, utilizing the professionalism and real time and tailored the ability, reliability, and low power consumption of the embedded system to design a real-time monitoring system for the physical condition of young children in sports training; reuse includes the document retrieval, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics, logical analysis, and real-time monitoring related algorithms, such as a real-time monitoring system based on the Internet of Things system, which is used for children’s physical fitness in sports training. Real-time monitoring system designed research experiment. The results show that the embedded real-time monitoring system designed in this paper has an average accuracy rate of 93.33% for children’s physical conditions, and the accuracy is strong, and it can be applied to the monitoring of children’s physical condition; it can promote the good development of children’s body and physique and improve the intelligent management ability of children’s sports training.
