Creativity is thought to require the flexible reconfiguration of multiple brain regions that interact in transient and complex communication patterns. In contrast to prior emphases on searching for specific regions or networks associated with creative performance, we focused on exploring the association between the reconfiguration of dynamic functional connectivity states and creative ability. We hypothesized that a high frequency of dynamic functional connectivity state transitions will be associated with creative ability. To test this hypothesis, we recruited a high-creative group (HCG) and a low-creative group (LCG) of participants and collected resting-state fMRI (R-fMRI) data and Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) scores from each participant. By combining an independent component analysis with a dynamic network analysis approach, we discovered the HCG had more frequent transitions between dynamic functional connectivity (dFC) states than the LCG. Moreover, a confirmatory analysis using multiplication of temporal derivatives also indicated that there were more frequent dFC state transitions in the HCG. Taken together, these results provided empirical evidence for a linkage between the flexible reconfiguration of dynamic functional connectivity states and creative ability. These findings have the potential to provide new insights into the neural basis of creativity.

<span>Creative thinking is needed in 21st century learning. This quantitative study aimed to determine whether chemistry education students at Universitas Jambi have the initial ability of creative thinking. The type of research that is used is a research design survey that is strengthened by the results of interviews to support the results of quantitative data. Where the number of all samples from this study was 188 college students with details of 140 female and 48 male college students from 4th semester chemistry education students who were taken based on purposive sampling technique. Data were then analyzed using SPSS 21 application to find descriptive statistics in the form of mean, median, min, max, and category. From the results of the analysis conducted, it was found that there were students' creative thinking abilities in chemistry subjects in bio-chemical material indicated by sensitivity indicators which had a good category of 44.7% (84 of 188), fluency indicators had a good category of 41.5% (78 of 188), the flexibility indicator has a good category of 40.4% (76 of 188), the originality indicator has a category of 43.1% (81 of 188), and the elaboration indicator has a category of 39.4% (74 of 188).</span>

Background: The present study aimed to investigate maladjustment based on identity status among students of the University of Tehran. Methods: In a descriptive-correlation and retrospective study, 107 male college students at the University of Tehran were selected by convenience sampling method. The extended objective measure of ego identity status and MMPI-2 college Maladjustment (Mt) scale were used for data collection. The obtained data were processed by using ANOVA with SPSS V. 22. Results: Findings indicated significant differences among achieved, moratorium, foreclosed, and diffused identity statuses (P<0.05). Also, there is a significant difference between diffused and achieved identity statuses. Individuals with diffused identity status have a higher level of maladjustment than individuals of other identity statuses. Conclusion: According to the findings of the present study, individuals without identity exploration and commitment are more vulnerable to maladjustment behaviors. So these students need psychological intervention.
