Psoriasis with Sputnik V vaccine, a potential triggering factor

Abstract

Sputnik V vaccine is adenovirus-based vaccine, it is a heterologous COVID-19 vaccine composed of two immunogenic components administered in two doses separated by at least 21 days. The first component includes a recombinant adenovirus type 26 (rAd26) vector, whereas the second includes a recombinant adenovirus type 5 (rAd5) vector. The full-length SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein gene is included in both vectors (rAd26-S and rAd5-S). 2,3 We provide two examples of psoriasis development and aggravation after Sputnik V vaccination delivery. 3 The first case a 35-year-old woman with no history of any medication, no previous symptoms or signs for psoriasis or any systemic or cutaneous diseases or family history.
