“…For instance, Huang and his coworkers have employed a V‐shaped dipolar ligand to react with d 10 Cd(II) salt, producing an noncentrosymmetric 1D metallacyclic chain. Interestingly, such 1D metallacyclic chains adopt different arrangement modes, resulting in the formation of one noncentrosymmetric and one centrosymmetric structures [10] . Based on above analysis, we designed and synthesized a new asymmetric rigid bridging ligand 3,5‐dimethyl‐ N ‐(pyridin‐4‐ylmethylene)‐4 H ‐1,2,4‐triazole‐4‐amine (PTA, Scheme 1).…”

“…Much effort has been devoted to the construction of entangled polymers through introduction of N-containing auxiliary ligands. Inspired by this consideration, our synthetic strategy is reasonable selection of N-donor ligand to acquire entangled MOFs with H 3 bcpt ligand. The rod-like N-donor building blocks, 4,4′-bipyridine, have been extensively employed in coordination chemistry. Furthermore, the modified 4,4′-bipyridine derivatives bpa and bpp, which have different spacers between the two 4-pyridyl groups, can cause a distinct spatial effect, thus resulting in unexpected entangled architectures. Meanwhile, to explore the conformation of N-donor ligands on the entangled motif, three types of bimidazole (biimpy, bib, bix) ligands with different conformations were chosen for the M-bcpt system.…”
