Pseudoceroximes A–E and Pseudocerolides A–E – Bromotyrosine Derivatives from a Pseudoceratina sp. Marine Sponge Collected in the South China Sea

Abstract: 15 new bromotyrosine-derived compounds, pseudoceroximes A-E (1-5), pseudocerolides A-E (6-10), 13-ketohemifistularin 3 (11), and ceratinines J-M (12-15), were isolated from a Pseudoceratina sp. marine sponge collected in the South China Sea. The planar structures of all compounds were established based on extensive NMR spectroscopic analyses and HRESIMS data. Their absolute configurations were assigned by a combination of modified Mosher's method, ECD calculations and a single-crystal X-ray diffraction experim… Show more

“…448 Discorhabdin dimers were reported from Latrunculia species collected from New Zealand 1017 and by dredging in Antarctica 1018, and 1019, respectively, 449,450 while the rst trimeric discorhabdin 1020 was isolated along with another dimer 1021 from the same Antarctic collection. 451 A Pseudoceratina specimen was the source of 15 new bromotyrosines 1022-1036, 452 while another Pseudoceratina sp. was the source of 1037-1040.…”

“…This represents a comprehensive list of all secondary metabolites isolated from Verongiida sponges within the period from 1960 to May 2020. It is important to note that since May 2020 to August 2021, a further 7 papers have been published concerning secondary metabolites from this order that were not included in this analysis [ 176 , 177 , 178 , 179 , 180 , 181 , 182 ]. A full reference list can be found in Supporting Information S1 .…”
