Today, Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle facilitate the teaching-learning process, promote the organization of creative activities from anywhere and allow the active participation of the students before, during and after the face-to-face sessions. The objective of this quantitative research is to analyze the teachers' perceptions about the impact of Moodle in the educational field considering data science and machine learning. The independent variable is the use of Moodle during the organization of new school activities and the dependent variables are the performance of the activities inside and outside the classroom and the participation and communication during the educational process. The participants are 70 teachers from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). The results of machine learning (linear regression) indicate that Moodle positively influences the participation and communication during the educational process. Likewise, this LMS positively influences the performance of the activities inside and outside the classroom. In particular, Moodle allows improving the educational field through the realization of the online exams and discussion forums, diffusion of the tasks and consultation of the contents at any time. Data science identifies 3 predictive models on the impact of Moodle in the educational field. In fact, the decision tree technique establishes the conditions on the use of this LMS considering the characteristics of the teachers (sex and maximum degree of study). The implications of this research allow affirming that teachers have the opportunity to create, organize and carry out various creative and active activities through this LMS. Finally, teachers can use Moodle to update the activities of the courses and build new educational spaces that allow the active role of the students during the learning process.

This systematic review study aims to determine Moodle e-learning in physics learning in terms of nationally published journals. This type of research is a systematic review study using the Prisma model. The dominant research methodology is quantitative research with descriptive statistical analysis. The findings in this study are that the author of many articles contains Research & Development (R&D) research on physics learning devices, the distribution of authors and institutions is uneven, and the data obtained is in the form of numbers. Data analysis was performed manually and using Vosviewer software. Data analysis that was done manually included: SINTA level, year, author, institution, use of Moodle, keywords, samples based on educational level, type of research, and data analysis in the research of each article. The results of the article review show that the use of Moodle e-learning is more widely used in the development of teaching materials than used in classroom learning experiments. So it can be concluded that the need for learning development by utilizing the Moodle platform so that learning is more meaningful and enjoyable is not only used only for physics learning training.

Student motivation at class takes major role on achieving courses’ learning outcomes. Multimedia based content, game-based quiz, or self-assessment can maintain student interest to follow the learning process. Apart from the individual solution, working in group is one way to improve student motivation, however without proper arrangement, putting students in groups can degrade the competitive atmosphere of class, as less-smart students hang up to the more-smart students. Another alternative is implementing collaborative learning such as peer assessment that allows students to grade their fellows. However, objectivity between students must be concerned as students tend to give high-grade for their fellows. Combining group mode and peer assessment, this work proposed group peer assessment to improve student motivation on e-learning. Proposed method started by teacher open a group assignment on e-learning. Students then work on group to create solution. After the solutions are submitted, the extra-group peer assessment begins, where each group examines another group work. To maintain the objectivity of the peer assessment, final grade of each group obtained by combining grade from another group and grade from teacher. In the meantime, cooperation atmosphere in each group is maintained by intra-group peer assessment, where each member asses all his/her teammates in terms of intra-personal and inter-personal skills.
