Properties of rabbit feces composting using indigenous Alcaligenes sp. LS2T and Arthrobacter sp. LM1KK

Abstract: This study aims to determine the effects of indigenous Alcaligenes sp. LS2T and Arthrobacter sp. LM1KK in the composting of rabbit feces. This study consists of 3 treatments (commercial starter as control, Alcaligenes sp. LS2T, and Arthrobacter sp. LM1KK) in triplicate replication. Starter growth profile, emitted ammonia concentration, physical qualities of compost, and the compost’s chemical quality were observed in this study. The data was analyzed using a randomized design (One-way ANOVA). Alcaligenes sp. L… Show more

“…However, based on some previous research, compost from livestock manure, especially in the Ruminantia, has a low N content. Thus, it requires other potential ingredients to increase the final N content in mature compost [5][6][7]. Broiler chicken as a food source of protein must have a high protein content.…”
