Show more

“…The fact that most application modes of Trichoderma have increased the height of African mahogany seedlings for at least one of the fungus isolates, is a promising result, since if the objective is gain in height, the producers could use the best suited method to their conditions, with no losses in that variable. Amaral et al (2017) also found significant gains in seedling biomass with the inoculation of Trichoderma in substrate. The promotion of plant growth by Trichoderma isolates may be associated with the production of hormones or other factors, and with the availability of nutrients in the substrate and their facilitated absorption (Lucon, 2009).…”

“…Although the biological treatments THE, TTA, TAI, THP and the chemical fungicide SCO did not show significant differences from the control, the former are still more advantageous, since these microorganisms can promote plant growth, as already evidenced in several studies (Amaral et al, 2017;Chagas et al, 2017;Gonçalves et al, 2018). Carvalho Filho et al (2008) concluded that the isolate CEN 262 of Trichoderma spp.…”

“…in producing native forest species and its effects on the growth process are concentrated in a limited number of species, such as Theobroma cacao (Bae et al, 2009;Tchameni et al, 2011), Gochnatia polymorpha (Machado, Tavares, Lopes, & Silva, 2015), Prunus sp. (Sofo, Milella & Tataranni, 2010), Myrcianthes punges, Eugenia pyriformis (Soldan, 2014) and Jacaranda micrantha (Amaral, Steffen, Maldaner, Missio, & Saldanha, 2017). Given this gap, the objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of Trichoderma on the germination and initial growth of M. ilicifolia seedlings, aiming to develop production technologies compatible with the final use of the raw material.…”
