It is well known that embryo implantation is a critical process in which embryo should be able to reach and attach to endometrium. Until now, various types of factors are involved in the regulation of this process. S100 proteins are calciumbinding proteins, which have vital roles in embryo implantation and have been considered as possible candidate markers for endometrial receptivity. However, studies regarding mode of actions of these proteins are scarce and more mechanistic insights are needed to clarify exact roles of each one of the S100 protein family. Understanding of function of these proteins in different compartments, stages, and phases of endometrium, could pave the way for conducting studies regarding the therapeutic significance of these proteins in some disorders such as recurrent implantation failure. In this review, we outlined roles and possible underlying mechanisms of S100 protein family in embryo implantation.

This examination analyzed between oral cabergoline and rectal bromocriptine in the treatment of female patients experiencing. This investigation was directed on 220 female patients experiencing hyperprolactinemia with whose serum prolactin level over 25 ng/ml. A definite history taking, clinical assessment and serum prolactin level were done to all members. patients were isolated into two gatherings in a randomized example; gathering (a), included 110 patients were treated with 2.5 mg bromocriptine rectally day by day once as long as 3 months.; gathering (b), included 110 patients were treated with oral cabergoline.1/2 tablet two times per week as long as 3 months. Prolactin level was tested before treatment then following a month and 4 months individually, contrasting prolactin level pre-and post-treatment, there was huge abatement in prolactin level after treatment in Bromocriptine gathering (mean prolactin= 16.5 versus 40, p<0.001); just as in Cabergoline gathering (mean prolactin= 11.3 versus 41, p<0.001). Cabergoline bunch after treatment had altogether lower prolactin level when contrasted with Bromocriptine gathering (p<0.001). Change in prolactin level after treatment contrasting with pattern level was determined, Cabergoline bunch demonstrated essentially higher rate change in prolactin level when contrasted with Bromocriptine gathering (mean rate change=64.9% versus 55%, p<0.001). “…We tested if hormone levels measured during the early follicular phase of the menstrual cycle in women in a new romantic relationship (up to 6 months), who declared that they were in love, differed from those of single women who had not been in a romantic relationship for at least 6 months and declared not being in love. Hormone samples included: (1) Estradiol (E2) level, a key hormone in predicting female fecundity [21], and its ratio to testosterone level (E2/T); (2) gonadotropin levels (FSH, LH), key components of HPG functioning and women’s reproductive functioning [22]; and (3) prolactin level, which is important for reproductive health and is regulated by dopamine levels [23]. We also measured cortisol (C) and free testosterone (fT) levels in all women due to the possible impact of these hormones on the functioning of the HPG axis [24,25], and because previous studies have elicited contradictory results in terms of reporting either decreased [20] or increased [1] levels of testosterone in women who had recently fallen in love compared to a control group.…”

Increased reproductive success is among the most commonly proposed adaptive functions of romantic love. Here, we tested if hormonal changes associated with falling in love may co-vary with hormonal profiles that predict increased fecundity in women. We compared blood serum levels of estradiol (E2, E2/T), luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), prolactin (PRL), free testosterone (fT), and cortisol (CT), measured in the early follicular phase of the menstrual cycle in single women (N = 69) and in women at the beginning of a romantic heterosexual relationship who reported being in love with their partner (N = 47). Participants were healthy, regularly cycling women aged 24 to 33 who did not use hormonal contraception. We found that women in love had higher levels of gonadotropins (FSH, LH) and lower testosterone levels compared to single women who were not in love. These groups of women did not, however, differ in terms of estradiol, prolactin, or cortisol levels.
