Progressive anemia following combination therapy with interferon‐α and interleukin‐2 in a patient with metastatic renal cell carcinoma

Abstract

Various toxicities have been observed during the treatment of advanced renal cell carcinoma with interferon-a (IFN-a ) and/or interleukin-2 (IL-2). We report a case of severe anemia, which responded well to steroid therapy, in a patient receiving IL-2 plus IFN-a for metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
