Background Professionalism among nurses plays a critical role in ensuring patient safety and quality care and involves delivering competent, safe, and ethical care while also working with clients, families, communities, and healthcare teams. Aims and objectives To assess the level of nursing professionalism and the factors affecting professionalism among nurses working at a tertiary care center in India. Methods A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from October 2022 to March 2023 using a total enumeration sampling technique. Following institutional ethics committee approval, standardized tools were administered consisting of Nursing Professionalism Scale and socio-demographic, personal, and organizational characteristics. Results A total of 270 nurses participated, with a response rate of 93.7%. The mean age of the participants was 27.33 ± 2.75 years, with the majority being female (82.6%) and belonged to the age group of 23–27 years (59.6%). More than half of the nurses exhibited high professionalism (53%), with the highest and lowest median scores for professional responsibility (29.0) and valuing human beings (13.0) respectively. Multivariate regression analysis demonstrated that, compared with their counterparts, nurses with a graduate nursing qualification (AOR = 4.77, 95% CI = 1.16–19.68), up-to-date training (AOR = 4.13, 95% CI = 1.88–9.06), and adequate career opportunity (AOR = 33.91, 95% CI = 14.48–79.39) had significant associations with high nursing professionalism. Conclusion/Implications for practice The majority of the nurses had high professionalism, particularly in the domains of professional responsibility and management. Hospitals and healthcare institutions can use these findings to develop policies and prioritize opportunities for nurses to attend conferences and workshops to enhance their professional values, ultimately leading to improved patient care outcomes. Background Emotional Intelligence (EI) is an important skill for midwives. Our study aimed to understand EI as a Predictor of Job Satisfaction among Midwives. Methods This descriptive-correlational study was conducted on 143 employed midwives in maternity wards of government and private hospitals, as well as healthcare centers in Iran. The data were collected using demographic-fertility Characteristics, emotional intelligence, and job satisfaction questionnaires. For the assessment of EI, the Bar-On's Emotional Intelligence questionnaire was used which consists of 90 items. For the assessment of job satisfaction, Herzberg's Job Satisfaction Questionnaire was used which consists of 72 items. The significance level of the tests was considered to be P<0.05. Results The results of the study showed that the average EI and job satisfaction of midwives were moderate (316.57±33.64 and 278.58±25.95 respectively). According to Pearson correlation coefficients, there was a significant positive correlation between total job satisfaction and total EI scores (r=0.356, p<0.001). According to the results of multiple linear regression analysis after adjusting for other variables, job satisfaction of midwives had a significant positive association with total EI and friendly relationship with supervisors (β=0.258, p=0.022 and β=0.267, p=0.046 respectively). Conclusion This study showed that high emotional intelligence enhances midwives' job satisfaction. So midwifery managers should create conditions that help enhance the Emotional Intelligence and satisfaction of midwives.

STEAM merupakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam berpikir kritis, kreatif dan inovatif. Namun demikian, belum semua guru memahami dan mampu mendeskripsikan prinsip dan langkah-langkah pembelajaran dengan Pendekatan STEAM. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan para guru dalam menyusun rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran berbasis STEAM. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan melalui lokakarya yang mencakup dua hal, yaitu prinsip-prinsip dan langkah-langkah pembelajaran berbasis STEAM. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan, bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman guru dalam pembelajaran berbasis STEAM. Rata-rata pemahaman guru tentang prinsip-prinsip dan langkah-langkah pembelajaran berbasis STEAM sudah baik, yaitu sebesar 79,13 (baik). Rata-rata tingkat kepuasan dari para peserta pelatihan juga sangat tinggi, yaitu sebesar 82,35% (sangat puas). Para peserta merasa bahwa kegiatan pelatihan yang telah diikutinya sangat jelas dan memberikan kebermanfaatan untuk peningkatan kompetensi profesional guru
