Productivity of growing rabbits at different levels of methionine in the diet

Abstract: The article presents the results of experimental studies on the influence of various levels of methionine in feed on the productivity of growing rabbits. The research was conducted in the conditions of the problematic research laboratory of feed additives of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine. Experiment was carried out on young rabbits HYLA hybrids of the French company EUROLAP, of which, on the principle of analogues, four groups were formed – control and 3 experimental, wi… Show more

“…Adamson & Fisher (1973) determined that the growing young New Zealand rabbits need essential amino acids for increasing their weight. Sychov et al (2018) studied the effect of different levels of methionine in mixed feed on the productivity of growing rabbits, finding that maximal weight gains in conditions of moderate food consumption per unit required mixed feed with 0.41% methionine content. Positive effect of Prebiolakt-Kr on the live weight of rabbits depended on its dose in the diet.…”

“…Якщо в 100 г кролятини 168 Ккал, то в 100 г яловичини -274-335 Ккал, баранини -319 Ккал, свинини -389 Ккал. Отже, важливою перевагою кролятини є те, що вона -низькокалорійний продукт (Mishanin & Kuc, 2003;Kalashnik & Omel'chenko, 2004;Plotnikov, 2004;Aleksandrova & Kosova, 2005;Carabaño et al, 2010;Sychov et al, 2018;Kotelevych, 2018).…”

“…Another relevant way to solve this problem is, in particular, energy optimisation of diets for intensive cultivation of rabbits of highly productive hybrids (Alejandro et al, 2021). The balance of nutrients in the diets of young rabbits, in particular, protein (Sychov et al, 2018). All the described measures and techniques for improving and reducing the cost of technologies for raising young rabbits are effective, since they allow using the genetic potential of animals to the full, maximally ensuring their needs at each stage of ontogenesis (Yakubets & Bochkov, 2018;Birolo et al, 2022).…”
