Process Optimization and Application of Supported Nano-Photocatalytic Materials

Abstract: Melt Phase-splitting[1] method was a new one of preparing supported nano-photocatalytic materials. The nano TiO2 prepared loaded to the porous glass carrier. In this study, the technology of preparing nano TiO2 by melt phase-splitting method was Optimization, also doing doping modifcation on them. Using nano TiO2 photocatalyst to do photocatalytic degradation test on formaldehyde. The result had shown that: the degradation efficiency of the catalyst containing ZnO was higher than that free of ZnO. The rate of deg… Show more

“…With respect to Bi2WO6, the absorption edge of the AgCl/Bi2WO6 samples shifts to longer wavelength. The band-gap energy (Eg) for the catalysts was determined from the equation Eg = 1240/λg (eV) [22], where λg is the absorption edge, which was obtained from the intercept between the tangent of the absorption curve and abscissa. The calculated Eg for the samples are given in Table 2.…”

“…Along with time increase, the electron hole pairs which weren't used timely combined because that the lifetime of electron hole pairs were short. Thus the growth of the removal rate turned slow [7]. According to Langmuir-Hinshelwood model [8], the photocatalysis reaction rate could be calculated by the followed equation:…”
