Pro‐angiogenic potential of human chorion‐derived stem cells: in vitro and in vivo evaluation

Abstract: Human chorion-derived stem cells (hCDSC) were previously shown to demonstrate multipotent properties with promising angiogenic characteristics in monolayer-cell culture system. In our study, we investigated the angiogenic capability of hCDSC in 3-dimensional (3D) in vitro and in vivo angiogenic models for the purpose of future application in the treatment of ischaemic diseases. Human CDSC were evaluated for angiogenic and endogenic genes expressions by quantitative PCR. Growth factors secretions were quantifie… Show more

“…On the other hand, HCM alone as a biomaterial for tissue regeneration is still largely unexplored. Although HCM has been used as a reservoir of stem [ 25 ] and proangiogenic [ 26 ] cells, and as a source of small-diameter vascular grafts [ 1 ], only one study uses decellularized HCM (dHCM) with native tissue architecture (i.e., without ECM suspension creation) as a substrate for cell differentiation [ 7 ]. However, in that study, the dHCM is poorly characterized for the presence of ECM components, mechanical properties, in vitro cytocompatibility and in vivo biocompatibility.…”

“…Yeni kan damarlarının oluşumu anjiyogenez olarak tanımlanır, dolayısıyla endotel hücrelerinin çoğalması, migrasyonu yeni kan damarlarının meydana gelmesi anlamına gelmektedir. Anjiyonezin regülasyonunda kök hücrelerinin de önemi büyüktür (Fariha et al, 2013).…”
