Prioritizing the factors for coordinated supply chain using analytic hierarchy process (AHP)

Abstract: Purpose -Coordinated supply chain is concerned with managing dependencies between various members and joint efforts of all members to achieve mutually defined goals. The purpose of this paper is to identify and prioritize the factors for a coordinated supply chain.Design/methodology/approach -Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to prioritize the factors for a coordinated supply chain. By using AHP global desirability index of five strategic factors for coordinated supply chain their 23 sub-factors have be… Show more

“…AHP is a tool to find the optimal outcome from a multiple criteria scenario by employing a hierarchal approach to arrive at best solution. Singh (2013) Singh (2013) suggested in the first phase a theoretical construct of overall methodology is designed that consist of all the factors and sub factors of the study. The goal of this study is to prioritize the dimensions of flexible supply chain, so is placed on level-1 and on level-2 main factors or 3 stages of supply chain are placed i.e.…”

“…Shared information has different kinds related to inventory, resources, products, demands, delays, and planning information (Sakka & Botta-Genoulaz, 2009). It may also include information about quality, logistics, customer and general market information, and design information (Singh, 2013). In order to yield best results, shared information has to be adequate, accurate, credible, and timely (Li et al, 2004).…”

“…Az, hogy a kötelező bevezetés vagy az önkéntes átültetés dominál-e, számos tényezőtől függ, beleértve a teljesítményfejlesztő program stratégiai megközelítését is. A vállalat felső vezetése fontos szerepet játszik a koordinációs tevékenységek meghatározásában, működtetésében, melynek kitüntetett tényezői a közös célok, a közös jövőkép és a kölcsönös bizalom (Singh, 2013).…”
