Printed Four Key‐Device Units for Unified Platform of Wireless Anti‐Counterfeiting Label to Bridge in Blockchain

Abstract: As new authentic products are introduced into the market, counterfeiting has always been on the rise. In 2015, the global economic loss caused by counterfeiting is more than 1.7 trillion US dollars and has been increasing annually. Therefore, an inexpensive but efficient anti‐counterfeiting platform must be developed to end counterfeiting. Here, a wireless platform for the anti‐counterfeiting with an item‐tracking is developed by integrating printed four key‐device units, a 13.56 MHz rectenna (wireless power t… Show more

“…[158] However, the usual method of combining printing techniques that utilize similar layer thicknesses is a direct print of layers one-by-one, sometimes with an interlayer, to avoid material mixing. [159] The right choice of technique and material allows printed electronics techniques to be used in unusual applications, e.g., to make functional electrical connections on temperature-sensitive surfaces [160] or to produce structures with temperature-sensitive geometries. [161] Application area of printed electronics includes but is not limited to displays, [162][163][164] sensors, [165][166][167] electronic components, [168,169] and wearables.…”

“…Counterfeiting has been a global, long-lasting, and unsolved issue that permeates virtually every field of our society from the luxury goods industry to pharmaceuticals. Over the years, various anticounterfeiting strategies including holography ( 1 , 2 ), watermarks ( 3 , 4 ), barcodes ( 5 , 6 ), quick response codes ( 7 , 8 ), and radio frequency identification (RFID) tags ( 9 , 10 ) have been developed, offering competitive countermeasures against growing fraudulent practices worldwide. Many of these anticounterfeiting technologies, however, are based on deterministic encoding mechanism that has inherent vulnerability to various cloning attacks.…”
