Abstract: The parasitism of Rhynchopsyllus pulex (Siphonaptera: Tungidae) is described in Nyctinomops laticaudatus (Chiroptera) in the county of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

“…Linardi and Guimarães (2000) reported the occurrence of this insect in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.
