“…Our study showed that males had a higher incidence of dental trauma as compared to females. The results were in accordance with the studies conducted by Gojanur et al and Ravishankar et al 28,29 The results of our study contradicted to the results of the study conducted by Sumanth et al which stated that there was no statistically significant difference between the occurrence of trauma between males and females; also they found no significant difference between children of government and private schools which was supporting the results of our study. 30 Since boys take more interest in contact sports and other sports as compared to girls, there is more incidence of trauma in boys.…”
