“…Mosquitoes of Saudi Arabia were surveyed by several workers (Mattingly and Knight, 1956;Buttiker, 1981;Wills et al, 1985;Abdullah and Merdan, 1995;Jupp et al, 2002;Miller et al, 2002;Abdoon and Alshahrani, 2003;Abdoon, 2004;Alahmed et al, 2007;Alahmed, 2012;Al Ashry et al, 2014;Bakr et al, 2014). Such surveys resulted in the occurrence of fifty three species belonging to 11 genera: Anopheles, Culex, Lutzia, Ochlerotatus, Stegomyia, Aedes, Aedimorphus, Fredwardsius, Culiseta, Uranotaenia and Orthopodomyia.
