Even though, the isolation of Klebsiella strains from various foods have previously been reported (Park & Sanders, 1990;Kim et al,2015), to our knowledge, our study is the first report of the isolation K. oxytoca and K. pneumoniae which members of the Enterobacteriaceae, isolated from Hurma olive samples. When the results were obtained in this study, are taken into consideration, Hurma olives seem safe for human consumption as any other fruits and vegetables.…”
