The COVID-19 pandemic necessitates the use of all sectors in communication through online media based on using Internet networks and audio-visual technology. Gedog Tuban Batik fabric has the potential to develop the motifs and coloring of the fabric that can be done by batik artisans. Meanwhile, the impact of COVID-19 has resulted in a decline in the economic activity of artisans. To overcome this, a method of empowering the Tuban community is needed so that they can continue to produce Tuban batik. The community is equipped to express themselves through audio and visual media as well as coloring and motifs for developing Gedog batik with the citizen journalist method and applied art. This is an ethnographic research using qualitative methods. The data collection techniques were done through in-depth interviews and observations. The results of the study show that through the empowerment of local resources, the Tuban community has an alternative activity, namely batik making in order to survive during the pandemic. The residents of Tuban are agents of information in terms of how to produce, distribute, and exhibit Gedog batik through their smart phone technology.

The researcher discusses some of the forms of local wisdom in relation to the tradition of building houses. This study is entitled Analysis of the Symbolic Meaning of the Lexicon in the Tradition of Building a Residential House in Preparation for Selection of Building Materials as Local Wisdom in the Tombulu Minahasa area: Ethnosemantic Studies. Research related to local wisdom is important because now people in the Tombulu area when building houses no longer follow the traditional way like the way our ancestors did in the past. The researcher explores and reveals the symbolic meaning of the lexicon like what is used in building houses as local wisdom in the Tombulu Minahasa area. The objectives of this study are (1) to identify and classify the lexicon on the tradition of building houses on the selection of building materials as local wisdom in the Tombulu area; (2) Explaining the symbolic meaning of the lexicon in the tradition of building houses in the selection of building materials as local wisdom in the Tombulu area. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Researchers describe and explain narratively.

The Dayak tribe is a native of Kalimantan's island, one of the large islands in Indonesia that has a large forest area. This study aims to determine the local wisdom of the Dayak tribe in managing forests to prevent forest fires to realize sustainable forest development. This research uses a descriptive method. The study was conducted on the Maanyan Dayak tribe in Muara Tewe, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. Data was obtained employing observation, interviews. Focus group discussion and documentation. Data analysis using Triangulation Technique. Namely by collecting data, processing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The study results show that the Dayak tribe has Local Wisdom, which provides guidelines for interacting with the forest. The Dayak tribe understands the relationship between humans and nature with a religious dimension that can be used to manage forests. This research is expected to be a material consideration for related parties to forest fire prevention by utilizing the local wisdom of the Dayak tribe.
