Preparation of supported Fe2O3‐Cl/β‐zeolite catalyst and its application in the selective oligomerization reaction of isobutene in mixed C4

Abstract: BACKGROUND: Isobutene oligomerization is a very promising reaction, and it has always been a research hotspot in the separation of mixed C4. A supported catalyst is a promising olefin oligomerization catalyst. In the work reported, a supported Fe 2 O 3 -Cl/⊎-zeolite molecular sieve catalyst was synthesized by changing the loading amount of various active components, and its catalytic effect on the selective oligomerization of isobutene was studied. The catalyst was characterized using various techniques. The e… Show more

“…The specific preparation method can be found in previous literature. 21,33 Based on the preparation methods and performance evaluation of the catalysts in the literature, we selected two supported β molecular sieve catalysts. The first catalyst is a Fe 2 O 3 -N/β molecular sieve catalyst with a ferric nitrate impregnation amount of 6% and a calcination temperature of 550 C. The second catalyst is a Fe 2 O 3 -Cl/β molecular sieve catalyst with a ferric chloride impregnation amount of 3% and a calcination temperature of 550 C.…”
