Preparation of soap‐free cationic emulsion using polymerizable surfactant

Abstract: A kind of polymerizable surfactant, methacryloyloxyethylhexadecyldimethylammonium bromide (DMHB) was used to synthesis soap-free cationic emulsion with styrene (St), methyl methacrylate (MMA), and methacryloyloxyethyltrimethylammonium chloride (MATMAC) by emulsion polymerization using 2,2Ј-azobis(isobutylamidine hydrochloride) (AIBA) as a cationic initiator.
