Preparation of nano‐AlN powder by sol–gel foaming and its sintering properties

Abstract: Uniformly dispersed nano‐sized aluminum nitride powders were prepared by the sol–gel foaming method using aluminum nitrate as the aluminum source, sucrose as the carbon source, and ammonium chloride as the foaming agent. The effects of ammonium chloride content on the particle size and the sintering properties of aluminum nitride were investigated.
