Preparation of indolylmethanes catalyzed by metal hydrogen sulfates

Abstract: Solid acids were developed and applied to the condensation reactions of indole with carbonyl compounds at ambient temperature. Tetra-(indolyl)methanes were obtained by the condensation reaction of indole with dialdehyde compounds.
