Preparation of boronate affinity monolithic column with high specific surface using highly structurally symmetrical copolymerizing reagents

Abstract: Boronate affinity monolithic column is an important chromatographic medium for the selective isolation of the cis-diol containing compounds. However, it is difficult to control the micro-structure of the monolithic capillary during its preparation process. In this article, using melamine and tris (2,3-epoxypropyl) isocyanurate (TEPIC), both are highly symmetrical in molecular structure, as the copolymerizing reagents, a boronate affinity monolithic capillary with high specific surface was prepared by in-situ p… Show more

“…This is an apparent limitation, since it leads to not only inconvenience of pH adjustment but also the risk of degradation of labile compounds. In recently years, our group has dedicated to reduce the binding pH of boronic acid-functionalized materials through using boronic acid with special structure [21,29,38,41,45,54] or the teamed boronate affinity strategy [20,28,37,56]. Usually the lowest binding pH is provided to indicate the lowest pH condition of the sample environment a boronic acid-functionalized material can be applicable.…”
