Abstract:In this study, activated carbon is made from the mango nuclei (Mangifera indica L) which is used during the preparation process of alkaline hydroxides. Alkaline hydroxides simultaneously served as an activating and carbonating agent. The hydroxyl ion increases the raw material's carbon content by removing hydrogen from it in the form of water molecules.
