Preparation, Electrochemical Behavior and Electrocatalytic Activity of a Copper Hexacyanoferrate Modified Ceramic Carbon Electrode

Abstract: A copper hexacyanoferrate modified ceramic carbon electrode (CuHCF/CCE) had been prepared by two-step sol-gel technique and characterized using electrochemical methods. The resulting modified electrode showed a pair of well-defined surface waves in the potential range of 0.40 to 1.0 V with the formal potential of 0.682 V (vs. SCE) in 0.050 mol•dm -3 HOAc-NaOAc buffer containing 0.30 mol•dm -3 KCl. The charge transfer coefficient (α) and charge transfer rate constant (k s ) for the modified electrode were calcu… Show more

“…The deposition of CuHCF in the presence of EDTA was conducted similar to the above procedure but not contained HAuCl 4 . As far as the deposition of CuHCF in the absence of HAuCl 4 and EDTA, the deposition solution only contained 1.0 Â 10 À3 mol L À1 Cu(NO 3 ) 2 , 1.0 Â 10 À3 mol L À1 K 3 Fe(CN) 6 and 0.10 mol L À1 KCl. The deposition of CuHCF on gold film modified CCE was conducted as follows: firstly, the gold film was deposited by potential cycling a certain cycles between 0.9 and À0.2 V in a solution contained 3.0 Â 10 À4 mol L À1 HAuCl 4 and 0.10 mol L À1 KCl (pH 2.00).…”

“…The analytical parameters in our system are comparable or even better than results previously reported for the determination of hydrazine. Moreover, the overpotential for hydrazine oxidation with BiHCF-modified CCE is considerably reduced when compared with other transition MHCFs modified electrodes [14,[18][19][20][21][41][42][43].…”
