Preparation and Study of Catalysts on Metal blocks for Neutralization of Exhaust Gases of the Stationary Diesel Generator

Abstract: The work aim was preparation of catalysts with various active phase on metal block carriers and test their effectiveness on exhaust gases of the stationary diesel generator at various loadings. The active phase was prepared on the basis of the platinum group metals, oxides of nickel, manganese. The catalyst on the basis of 0.1% of Pt kept the activity during 100 h. test on the diesel generator. The most effective catalyst at all engine operating conditions was the sample containing 5% of nickel oxide and manga… Show more

“…The BET surface of the catalyst was 4.8 -15.0 m 2 /g. Testing of catalysts was carried out by previously developed methodology, for laboratory tests the flowing catalytic installation with the tubular reactor of integrated type was applied [21][22][23] . The gas mixture was prepared by feeding of hydrocarbons from container and the compressed air from the line into the mixer.…”

“…In this paper, the experimental part was carried out by methods described in the literature and elaborated by authors of this article. [8][9][10][11][12][13] The burning rate of the compositions was measured by the method of blown wires. 14,15 To determine the delay in the ignition of the compositions, compressed samples with a diameter of 5 mm and a height of 1.5 mm were prepared.…”

“…Today developing countries are prospering through economic reforms and are becoming technologically advanced. The reason to find out for renewable sources has been the harmful emission reduction and increased consumption day by day and the increasing cost worldwide 1 . Biodiesel can be considered a new technology, considering that all these years' consumers have had to settle for traditional diesel.…”
