Preparation and Characterization of PU/PET Matrix Gradient Composites with Microwave-Absorbing Function

Abstract: In the field of microwave-absorbing materials, functional powder has always been the focus of research. In order to fabricate lightweight and flexible garment materials with microwave-absorbing function, the current work was carried out. Firstly, the general properties of polyurethane (PU) matrix composites reinforced with various microwave-absorbing powders were studied, and the carbon nanotubes (CNTs)/Fe3O4/PU film was proven to have the best general properties. Secondly, the needle-punched polyester (PET) n… Show more

“…CNT, Fe 3 O 4 compounded with polyurethane (PU), [138] polydimethylsiloxane, [139] etc., can the mechanical properties of the material be improved at the same time as the absorbing properties of the material. Gao et al [140] prepared Fe 3 O 4 /CNTs@Fe 3 O 4 /CNTs@G nanosheets (GN)@Fe 3 O 4 magnetic nanoparticles by a simple solvothermal method and dispersed them in a single component wet self-foaming polyurethane.…”

“…The values of dielectric permittivity ε of such a layer are as close as possible to ε of the external environment at magnetic permeability μ = 1. The subsequent layer or layers are distinguished by higher values of ε and μ that increase as one approach to the reflective substrate [ 12 ]. The thickness of the outer input layer is usually greater than the thicknesses of subsequent layers.…”

“…The second role of the textile is to promote the absorption of the MWAM. 24,25 For example, carbon fiber, 26 glass fiber, 27 and metal and metal alloy fiber, such as Ni, 28 can consume the electronic or magnetic component of the MWAM. The functional fiber of textiles would prolong the pathway of the M.W.…”
