“…Figure S1 illustrates the FTIR patterns of composite membranes containing pure PES, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and 1.0 wt % of AlFu nanoparticles, where the peaks at 1097 and 1148 cm –1 represent stretching band of SO; 1232, 1249, and 1336 cm –1 correspond to the C–O–C bond stretching; and 1484 and 1569 cm –1 can be attributed to the benzene ring stretching, which is in good consonance with the literature. , As can be seen in this figure, there is no discrepancy between neat PES membrane and other MMM patterns and similar peaks can be observed in the range of 600–3600 cm –1 . It can be concluded that these nanoparticles could not create a new functional group in the mixed-matrix membrane structure.…”
