Preparation and Characterization of Cerium (III) Doped Captopril Nanoparticles and Study of their Photoluminescence Properties

Abstract: Abstract:In this research Ce 3+ doped Captopril nanoparticles (Ce 3+ doped CAP-NP) were prepared by a cold welding process and have been studied. Captopril may be applied in the treatment of hypertension and some types of congestive heart failure and for preventing kidney failure due to high blood pressure and diabetes. CAP-NP was synthesized by a cold welding process. The cerium nitrate was added at a ratio of 10% and the optical properties have been studied by photoluminescence (PL). The synthesized compound… Show more

“…The identified peaks of PUF microcapsules with or without Ce(NO 3 ) 3 are at about 1550 cm –1 (N–H), 1640 cm –1 (CO), and 3330–3350 cm –1 (N–H, O–H) . In addition, as can be seen in FTIR curves of the microcapsules containing Ce(NO 3 ) 3 , the characteristics peaks at 1390 and 1600 cm –1 are associated with the presence of Ce(NO 3 ) 3 , which confirms the successful encapsulation of Ce(NO 3 ) 3 within PUF microcapsules.…”

“…Additionally, selenium is important for maintaining the maturation of T-cells and their functions, as well as for the production of T-cell based antibodies (Bae & Kim, 2020). Nanoparticles (NPs) are defined as particles less than 100 nm in diameter (Ghamami et al, 2016;Lashgari et al, 2015). NPs have many beneficial applications in many fields (Ananth et al, 2019;Gangadoo et al, 2019) to reduce toxicity, improve bioavailability, and control and maintain the release of magnifying materials in their effective forms (Khurana et al, 2019).…”

“…Its generally intensive, parity allowed absorptions in the UV region, originating from 4f-5d transitions, make it possible to detect the electronic changes during complexation at relatively low concentrations. Cerium(III)-doped or based materials are among the most usable and efficient scintillators, owing to their fast and intensive fluorescence [3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11]. CeF 3 is one of the most investigated cerium(III) compounds because the fluoride ions can control the mobility of lanthanide ions in nature; besides, cerium(III) fluoride is less hygroscopic than, e.g., cerium(III) chloride.…”
