Abstract: Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is a synthetic polymer that has been extensively studied for fabricating porous membranes via electrospinning for diverse biomedical applications. However, the poor mechanical properties of electrostatically spun PVA nanofiber membranes severely limit their application in the biomedical field.
