The paper addresses the gaps in literature of technology adoption in developing countries. The measurement model developed could improve future research into SMEs' technology adoption. External pressures were found to positively affect the perceived benefits of adoption. Environmental pressures significantly influence managers' decision to adopt technology. a b s t r a c tThis study investigates the factors that influence e-commerce adoption in SME travel agents in a developing country. The research is based upon a questionnaire survey of travel agents in Egypt and employs advanced statistical techniques to test a conceptual framework that extends the technology acceptance model. Using competing models the study examines the relationship between e-commerce adoption, perceived benefits, perceived barriers and environmental pressures. The results indicate that environmental pressures significantly affect the perceived benefits and barriers of e-commerce adoption, in addition to having an indirect effect on adoption behaviour. Insights are provided into the nature of relationships between the key factors that determine e-commerce adoption and the extent to which they can be used to develop effective strategies for SME travel agent re-intermediation in the global travel market. Implications are identified for practice and government policy in relation to the use of e-commerce in SME travel businesses in developing countries.

Abstract-Product innovation refers to new products development and improvement of existing products. The importance of product innovation proliferated as the market grows and becomes more diversified. Among SMEs, product innovation is one of the most critical determinants for their survival, growth and competitiveness. Nonetheless, product innovation among SMEs is still low, owning to various issues and challenges. This study attempts to focus the effect of transformational leadership and organizational culture on product innovation among thirty-six SMEs in Johor. A SEM-PLS was used to validate the measurement model and develop the path modeling among variables studied. It is found that both transformational leadership and organizational culture are significantly related to product innovation. This finding substantiates previous findings and lends supports to the importance roles of both constructs in SME's development.

The aim of the current study was to ascertain the influence of a management control systems (MCS) package on a firm's sustainability with the help of mediating variables such as differentiation and cost leadership strategy in Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Data were collected from managers working in Malaysian SMEs. A total of 384 questionnaires was finally used for analysis using SmartPLS 3.8.2. Area cluster sampling was used for data collection, and seven out of sixteen clusters were selected randomly. These included Selangor, Johor, Kuala Lumpur, Sabah, Penang, Sarawak, and Perak because these seven states cover 73.9% of total SMEs. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was used to test the hypotheses. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was also used to examine the reliability and validity, and structural model assessment was used to test the relationship between variables. Findings revealed that an MCS package had a positive influence on a firm's sustainability, cost leadership, and differentiation strategy. Moreover, cost leadership and differentiation strategy have a significant and positive influence on a firm's sustainability. In addition, cost leadership strategies and differentiation strategies significantly mediate between the MCS package and a firm's sustainability. This research assesses the influence of the MCS package through cost leadership and differentiation strategy on a firm's sustainability of Malaysian SMEs. It helps top management to focus on the MCS package and business strategies in attaining a firm's long-term sustainability. Finally, research recommendations discuss that the present study helps future researchers and academicians.
