“…We use the term "adversities" in this paper to refer to the following negative childhood experiences: parental divorce, serious conflicts within the family, financial difficulties within the family, parents' frequent unemployment, parents' serious disease or disability, parental mental health and alcohol use-related problems, one's own serious or chronic illness, and bullying ( Table 1).
