“…The results of this study were consistent with previous research (Rowe, 2002;Schmidt et al, 2005) that indicated the YLS/CMI had an acceptable level of internal consistency. While some items seemingly contributed little to the reliability of the sub-scales, the overall reliability of the measure was relatively high.…”

“…The risk levels correspond with four general categories of low, moderate, high, and very high risk. In two studies (Rowe, 2002;Schmidt, Hoge, & Gomes, 2005) examining reliability, researchers found that the eight subscales had an internal consistency within an acceptable range (.56 to .77). Several researchers (Rowe, 2002; see also Schmidt, Hoge, & Robertson, 2002) were also able to establish construct validity of the YLS/CMI by showing significant correlations with the psychopathy scale, child behavior checklist, the disruptive disorder rating scale, and the conduct disorder symptom scale.…”

Außerdem haben die vorliegenden studien belegt, dass sich die stabilität von Ps kaum zwischen Jugend-und erwachsenenalter unterscheidet.…”

“…Convergent validity was also found to range from moderate to strong, with the YLS/CMI strongly correlating with other relevant assessment measures ( i.e., .48 to .82 with the Psychopathy Checklist: Youth Version, Forth, Kosson, & Hare, 2003;Catchpole & Gretton, 2003, Rowe, 2002Viljoen et al, 2009). Finally, predictive validity has been found to be acceptable, with correlations between the YLS/CMI and reoffending rates ranging from .16 to .41 (Flores, Travis, & Latessa, 2004;Rowe, 2002;Schmidt, Hoge, & Gomes, 2005;Vieira et al, 2009).…”

“…Predictive validity has also been examined with respect to how well the substance abuse subscale predicts reoffending. It was found that the correlations between the substance abuse subscale and re-offending ranged from .12 to .14 (Hoge & Andrews, 1996;Rowe, 2002). The internal consistency was found to range from .56 to .83 (Flores et al, 2004;Rowe, 2002;Schmidt et al, 2005;Welsh, Schmidt, McKinnon, Chattha, & Meyers, 2008).…”
