Abstract:Dienogest (DNG) is widely used to treat dysmenorrhea associated with estrogen-dependent diseases such as endometriosis and adenomyosis. DNG becomes unnecessary after menopause when estrogen secretion declines drastically. However, there are no clear criteria for when to halt DNG in perimenopausal patients.
